I am so happy to be a part of the PCA family. I graduated from Riverside High School in Painesville township in 1996. I attended Lakeland Community college and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2001. Following that, I went to Bowling Green State University and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree in 2004.
Prior to coming to PCA, I spent 5 years working in a daycare in Mentor where I wore many hats. I worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-agers. I was a preschool teacher, drove the bus, and assisted on field trips along with many other responsibilities. In 2011, I began doing in-home childcare. I taught preschool and Kindergarten readiness to those children in my care. We often went on field trips to places such as the Akron Zoo, Great Lakes Science Center, apple picking at Patterson's, and various other places for educational experiences.
I have lived in Painesville Township all of my life. I currently live with my Grandma and assist in caring for her. She loved having the children at our house for all of those years and they helped to keep her young. My sisters, Shannon and Barb, also live in Painesville along with my dad and step-mom. My mom passed away in 2001, but I know my love of children came from her as she was a first grade teacher at St. Mary's School in Painesville for more than 20 years.
I have been a member of St. Mary's Church in Painesville my whole life. My faith has always been very important to me. I attended St. Mary's School from K-8th grade. I was a member of the children's choir, and I was a volunteer in the children's ministry. I believe that God called me to this role at PCA and I can't wait to see what He has in store for us going forward.
